American Samoa Rugby Las Vegas 2026: Talavalu Select to Assemble in Las Vegas and Compete at Samoan Flag Day 7s Tournament
The American Samoa Rugby Mo Le Lumana'i Foundation (ASRLF) is proud to announce that the Talavalu Select — the US-based player pool for the Amerika Samoa Men's National 7s Team — will assemble in Las Vegas, Nevada from September 16–20, 2026.
A Week of Training, Culture, and Competition
The Las Vegas assembly brings together American Samoa-eligible men's rugby players from across the United States for a concentrated week of training and competition under the direction of Talavalu Head Coach Mose Timoteo. The assembly is part of the national team preparation process ahead of the Oceania Rugby 7s Championship and the road to the 2027 Pacific Games in Tahiti.
Talavalu Select at the Samoan Flag Day 7s Tournament
On September 19th, the Talavalu Select will take the field at the Samoan Flag Day Rugby 7s Tournament at Silver Bowl Park in Las Vegas — competing in what will be a historic occasion for the Nevada Samoan community.
The tournament is hosted by Tautua Mo Samoa Las Vegas as part of Nevada's very first Samoan Flag Day celebration, running September 16–19, 2026. The event brings together the Samoan and Pacific Islander community in Nevada to honor Samoan heritage, celebrate culture, and share the spirit of Samoa with Nevada and beyond. The Talavalu Select are proud to compete as part of this landmark event.
